People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
PETA is the largest Animal Rights Organization in the world, based in the United States, with more than two million members and supporters. PETA, founded in 1980, is a nonprofit and tax exempt organization. It is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of animals. PETA works under the simple attitude that animals are not ours to eat, wear experiment on, or use for entertainment.

PETA Focuses
PETA focuses its concentration on four areas in which the largest number of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. It aims to inform public of its position through advertisement, undercover investigations, animal rescue and lobbying.
